Welcome to Reality Unleashed, a new XR games development company I’ve had in the works for a couple years now.
Hello! My name’s Conrad Wilson, the Founder / Director of this new company. I’d like to be open with some initial plans that are in place and to give but a glimpse into what the company will be getting up to.
In my final couple years at University in the UK, I worked on various VR and AR based applications, tools, and gameplay systems. Since then I’ve been pushing further with some of these concepts, looking for what potential they could deliver in time. I soon realised with everything I had, that spinning up my own company would be the best way forward to funnel all my work under one umbrella.
The goal now is to concentrate on building up and linking together my various systems using my experience working across both personal and commercial XR projects and transform them into multiple prototypes. These prototypes will then be drip-delivered to SideQuest to share the interesting concepts I have dreamt up, and will be evaluated for commercial viability based on user feedback.
What will these prototypes be, you ask? Well I’ve got a couple different systems in the works, and what I can do with them will drive the prototypes that’ll be released down the line. All I can say for now is that there is a heavy focus on dynamic avatars, alongside a funky gesture-combo-driven magic casting system that’s been brewing, and that I’m a big fan of Nimso’s and Tundra Fight School’s work on VR presence & physics systems. Other than that, you’ll have to wait and see for when I have something shiny to show off!
For such a time now I’ve been wondering when to actually start promoting this company of mine and have been thinking that it’s always been too early, but now that there’s some traction with the work being done, and I’ve been encouraged from many to just start posting about what I’m doing already, I really can’t keep waiting forever!
